Søndag kveld brøt det ut brann i Vei 232, og det ble slått full alarm. Senere samme kveld fikk brann- og redning kontroll på brannen.
I den forbindelse ønsker Longyearbyen lokalstyre å takke alle involverte. Både Longyearbyen brann- og redning, samarbeidpartnere, øvrige aktører og frivillige. For en innsats!
Vi ser også at hjertevarmen fortsatt blomstrer i vår lille by, og vi er gode til å ta vare på hverandre i kriser. Det gir samhold og stolthet som vi ikke skal ta for gitt. Så takk også til dere som strekker ut en hånd til dem som ble berørt.

On Sunday evening, a fire broke out in Vei 232, and the full alarm was raised. Later that evening, fire and rescue crew got control of the fire.
